Enhance Your Guitar's Tone
Enhance your guitar’s tone with the CTS 525k pot long shaft, designed for superior performance and reliability. This custom-spec’d potentiometer is based on CTS’s high-quality 450G series but tailored to deliver optimal sound and ease of installation. With a ±10% tolerance, these pots ensure consistent resistance values ranging from ~475K to ~575K, eliminating the variability found in standard 500K pots. Ideal for Les Pauls and other guitars with curved or thicker tops, this audio taper pot provides smooth sound transitions for both tone and volume controls.
Key Features
- 525k Ohm resistance: Get an extra edge from your humbuckers and make the high end sing.
- ±10% Tolerance: Expect the tone you’re aiming for without surprises.
- Audio Taper: Smooth transitions throughout the range of motion for precise control.
- Standard friction rotation: Keeps your settings stable during performances or adjustments.
Physical Fit Details
- Split, 24-tooth, fine knurled shaft: Compatible with US knobs (import knobs won’t fit).
- Solid brass long shaft bushing: Perfect for guitars with heavily curved tops or thicker woods.
- Included hardware: Comes with 2 nuts, a dress washer, and a lock washer for secure installation.
Important Note
Before purchasing, ensure your guitar has compatible mounting holes. These pots require a 3/8" (9.5mm) diameter hole, which may require reaming or drilling on import guitars like Epiphone, Ibanez, PRS SE models, and ESP guitars. Upgrade your guitar’s electronics today with this premium CTS potentiometer!

They fit the bass guitar just like I wanted them to. Their tone is excellent and well controlled. Just the right finishing touch for this guitar.
Nice pots. tolerances were within 4 to 5 percent on all 4. No slop.
These pots are too long for most applications. I had to order short pots for my '79 Washburn A20-V. I originally tried these in the guitar and as I said, they're too long. I also tried accidentally putting on the wrong size (metric) knob on the shaft. I tried so hard, I ended up pushing the cover right off the back. I put it back in place and folded the tabs back over and it works like new. Tough little buggers.
