.047uF/100V New Old Stock USA-made General Instruments Paper in Oil (PIO) Capacitor.  10% Tolerance Part # - GIAP009A1EB473K

This is a high quality PIO capacitor the conductor is made of aluminum foil and the dielectric is oil saturated paper, glass sealed in a metal body.  These capacitors provide excellent sonic characteristics and make great  tone capacitors for guitars.  Similar in construction to the Sprague Vitamin Q's, they are hermetically sealed in a metal case with glass ends.

.047 is a good value for Strats and Tele's or the bridge position in Les Paul's, Epiphones or other guitars using Humbucker style pickups.  Paper in Oil will give a slightly "smoother" tone than ceramic disc or poly caps.  These are easy to install, two solder points.  A quick, easy, and inexpensive upgrade to your tone.
